Nissan Leaf: With over 27 partnerships around the world Nissan is introducing their first plug-in hybrid. Nissan plans of introduce the Leaf in the U.S., Europe, and eventually Japan.  

The Leaf has a top speed of 90 m.p.h with a range of 100miles.  One full charge that takes approximately 40 minutes will give the vehicle 100 miles of travel.  Utilizing lithium-ion batteries it seats 5 people. 

Production will be done in Kanazawa Prefecture, Japan followed by production in Tennessee. And just keep it real; the batteries are going to be leased to buyers otherwise vehicle owners would have to purchase vehicle battery pack at a whopping $10,000.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept: At 155 m.p.h. this future looking concept has a 365hp all wheel drive plug-in.  Fueled by diesel this concept can go 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and was shown at the Frankfurt auto show in 2009. This battery pack takes 2.5 hours to charge and has 8.6kWhrs of storage for driving.
